But...since the C series will be a new category, it will be open to all pilots, regardless of seat lock.

Not only that, but if they take the 717 out of LAX (or if they close any category for that matter) then your freeze is gone and you can go anywhere you can hold, with no freeze as well, even if there is no opening. Plus a paid move.

That's as close to a "golden ticket" as there is. So fear not bidding it because it might be closed at some point.

Can someone explain all of this in more detail? Every time I look in the PWA I just end up going around in circles and never am able to find the exact answer I'm looking for.

Specifically, I'm looking for all the details, and a reference for how displacements work. I found some stuff in the PWA but it doesn't answer all of the questions that I have.

What are all of the options that the people being displaced have? I'm thinking about those in the MSP 88 category here. This was explained a little above but I'm wondering if those in a category that is closing can just "bump" anyone out of any category at any base that they are senior to?

What about those who are junior and who are at the bottom of a category? Will they be getting displaced all over the place with what is coming? Looking for opinions here. I've been wondering about this for a while with the 88 being retired in the next few years.

Thanks!

Pilots getting MDd can go anywhere they can hold. This could push junior people in some categories off the bottom and cause them to displace. CR will likely try to limit that so they could carry some fat if they desire vs training a whole slew of folks.

Negative. Hadn't been called that since 1998.

At the merger, the system was called the Advance Position Award (APA), and was as unlike the AE system as you could get.

100 day conversion period.
Monthly awards.
Fixed closing and Award dates.
Full transparency who was bidding what.

Lots to like.

It’s an email that a delta pilot sends direct to Pilot Selection team...they will pull app and score it within 30 days.

So i got an email from the good folks in ATL and I just had to update a small thing. I did it within the hour they sent the email and update my airline apps. Can you wager if they will go right back into the system and score my app? I giggled like a little school boy when I saw the delta email in my inbox so I am hoping they are still going to look at my app....DM me if its easier...

The "Fix it" email can go a lot of ways.. They could email you this week, 6 months from now, 12 months, or never... The only thing it guarantees is that they reviewed your app, and it was incomplete.

I got the email, fixed the concerns and heard nothing for three months before I got the interview call. I’ve heard of it taking longer or going quicker...just depends. I guess the moral of the story is make sure it’s perfect the first time so when it is scored you can get the call right away. Make sure there are no gaps in employment history....all the way to high school. Military guys need to list EVERY flight school you went to and list every assignment in your employment history. Good luck! By the way, there’s a separate thread on this topic. Search Delta “fix it” email.

Thanks, TBH i was also surprised how quickly they pulled my app and sent the email. I'm hoping that the lack of completion was the only thing holding them back from an offer
