Quote: I would guess that he is basing it on the best flow program in the industry, leading pay and a growing fleet of brand new E-175's. Kind of a no brainer when you hire at Envoy and are at AA in under 6 years.
Hmmm. Leading pay? Love to know by what basis.

AA in under 6 years haha. The entire post except for the 175’s is blatantly false.

Hello all.

Long time follower. Had some questions in regard to age of pilots getting the 145 in training. I’m not a Cadet and no previous 121 time. I’m 28 years old and I’m hoping that I could get the 145 (don’t care which base.) I understand that we can’t predict the future in the crystal ball that we all wish we had 😉 so I’m hoping some pilots might be able to shed some light on this from previous classes.

Thanks in advance 🛫

As you said, it's hard to predict. But I'd venture to say that you'd have a pretty good chance.

It typically goes 175/145/CRJ in order of being picked. So the odds are ever in your favor.

What are the odds of 27 year old new hire being able to avoid LGA? I know the vast majority are going to ORD (which is great for me) but there are always a handful sent to LGA

What they have been doing for over a year is offering each 145 slot an option of LGA or ORD, everyone who's going to LGA chose it over ORD

How is seniority determined within class? Age or last 4 of SSN?

For a non-cadet / no previous 121 hire, what are the chances of getting ORD out of class at age 35. 145 or 175 more likely?

Side question, how's family insurance and cost?

thanks.

How’s the crew lounge visit going? Is it worth driving out there, to find out what’s going on with the union or do they normally send a MEC Newsblast after the visit?
