Default Travel benefits , Pilot base question

Hello

A. What are the off-duty travel benefits for 1) Pilots and 2) Family, if employed by Skywest ?

B. How hard is it to commute if you live in Dallas, TX.

Thank you

A. Depends on aircraft and base
All CRJ pilots (and their families) get United and Delta
CRJ pilots in ORD, PHX, LAX and Aspen dedicated pilots get AA
All E175 pilots get United.
E175 Pilots in SEA, SFO, LAX, BOI also get Delta
E175 Pilots in SAN, PDX, SEA also get Alaska
All employees get flight benefits on SkyWest operated Alaska flights
Additionally, all pilots can jumpseat on a very long list of companies (some 85+ different companies)
SkyWest employees and their family members can get ZED fares (standby travel at a lower priority for a small fee) on some 70+ companies around the world

B. Depends where you are trying to commute to. Denver or Minneapolis, not so bad. Houston... usually a lot of competition on those flights

I would go to Envoy if I lived in Dallas.

I have some friends that commute out of DFW and they don't seem like they have too much of an issue.

Met an FA who commuted from Denver. Seemed to have typical complaints, nothing special. Envoy would probably be better if you want to stay in that area though.

I don't know why I said Denver. Meant Dallas.

Default Travel benefits

For "family" travel benefits, who does that apply to (just parents, brother)? Do buddy passes exist in the regionals, or is it possible to get anyone other than family a pass?

Parents, spouse, and children. On United you get an enrolled friend. You can have a second enrolled friend if you don’t sign your spouse up for benefits.

On delta, you get either a spouse or enrolled friend. Same with AA. After one year, we get 6 annual buddy passes on Delta (but they aren’t a good deal really. Sometimes they are but not always).
