That was a possibility until the maintenance base got cut in half when the United 700’s went to the American side.

This is a second hand quote but according to MT "there is not enough airplanes of one type sitting there overnight for a base to make sense" or something along those lines. If everything sitting there was a 175 like BOI then I would anticipate it opening. Nice looking hangar though.

Any idea how senior DFW will go? Educated guesses?

Long, long time lurker...first post.

Thanks!

Initial estimates are very. Lot of Texas commuters and a lot of IAH refugees waiting to get back. Like most bases at OO FOs can hold within 6 months or so. Junior captain will probably be between 3-5 years. With 7 years putting you in the middle. That is after everything settles down. Initial bid will probably only have 6-10 pilots per seat. That will go very senior. Just a guess. This is not backed up by any data. Just spit Ballin.

Pretty senior on the captain side according to the bid. Lots of former IAH Captains are bidding, FO side not so much.

Could go senior, given the IAH shrinkage. However, I hear that IAH-DFW can be tough.
With that being said, I’ve flown with a hand full of pilots that would do DFW in a heartbeat.
So, we’ll have to wait and see.

Thanks! I had a feeling it’d go more senior. I’m hoping I can get in, in time.

Do you even bother to read the emails? 29 a seat to start. Both sides so far are a mix of seniority.
