Cadet seniority is good for everything except bidding seniority and pay scale. Bonuses, travel (yes, even jumpseat), Zed eligibility is based off of cadet hire. For NH's that aren't well versed on how everything works yet, I don't blame them for being a bit confused.

You are correct on all counts accept jumpseat priority. Jumpseat priority on OO flights is determined by Skywest pilot seniority, not cadet date.

I am in the high deductible plan basic family. I pay $107 per paycheck for a family of 4 then I max out my HSA. In 2016 I had an almost total rebuild on my right shoulder. Bills showed over $70k but I payed max out of pocket of $6900 that year which also included several other family related issues. In 2017 I had a more monor repair on my left shoulder which bills showed worth about $57k. Again I paid max out of pocket at $6900 with a few other family issues thrown in.
My opinion is that the program is actually pretty decent. Its all about perspective however. I'm a senior Captain/SCA making...well I make a lot. Max out of pocket amounts to a spit in the bucket. For a new hire FO that same amount equals a huge percentage of take home pay. Its all relative and seems to mirror whats going on in this country in general. Good for the have's, not so great for the try to's and the have not's.

The health insurance is both bad and terrible. Bad because you are paying the company money as SkyWest is self insured. Terrible if have to use it, as you will be paying the company even more of your money back.

I've always had my cadet hire date used on the jumpseat. Still waiting for them to fix the glitch!

You're doing it wrong, and hosing people senior to you. Check the FOM, pilot seniority should be used for jumpseat priority. There's actually no glitch to fix, it's up to the pilots themselves or the captain to do the right thing.

No AS in SFO and no DL in LAX but the rest looks right. And DEN is UA only.

Hey all,
If I want the most flight time in DEN should I go CRJ or ERJ? I’ve heard Over a period of two years they eventually even out. Class start date isn’t an issue for me at the moment. Thanks! .......... |

I’m pretty sure LAX gets DL. They got it when we did the west coast shuttle. Did they pull the benefit?

What are the class dates being given for the CRJ aviation interview show early last month people getting late August?
