After Indoc. I have a buddy who was sent home for several weeks (more than a month). The training department reached out to him and said if he wanted to switch to the ERJ, they could get him back in weeks earlier.

Buddy just finished indoc. They were told to expect 2-6 weeks delay before GS. GS delay isn’t being used to stop the IOE delay, just to make it “smaller”. This is getting ridiculous.

I was on 6 week wait between indoc and ground school. Ended up switching to the ERJ. Would’ve ended up being the full 6 weeks though

Meanwhile I know multiple people on week 17 waiting for CRJ FO IOE. It is getting a bit ridiculous

Hey I’m about to start CRJ training. Did they give you that option to switch to ERJ at indoc ? Did they let others switch as well? Thanks for the info.

IOE coordinators said no chance of any CRJ trips in may for new hire FOs. And they didn’t sound optimistic about June either. So that will be almost 22 weeks, best case scenario

Super sorry the CRJ folks are stuck in a rut with not many options, if any. And believe me I understand the disappointment and frustration. But one thing many of you can do to help make the best out of the situation is go travel like crazy for the next month or so. I know not everyone can do this, but those that can should pack a suitcase and go see the world while getting paid! Good chance you won’t have this kind of opportunity for decades so make the best of it!
