They offered me the switch around week 4 of waiting. Around 1/3 of our class took it. The others stayed with the CRJ. They’ll have waited 6 weeks between indoc and ground school when they start ground school. Not sure if/when they'll keep offering the switch, or who to

It may sound absurd but getting full reserve pay, a seniority number, and travel benefits is a pretty sweet deal all things considered.
It was a little over a year ago when no one was hiring/training anywhere and thousands of pilots were out of work, furloughed, stuck in training, or on some form of reduced pay leave.
if the “1998” is an accurate birth year for you, you’ll have plenty of time to work and fly the next 40+ years of your life.

New hire here with a CTP date about a month and a half away. I anticipate being asked to be in a wedding in April 2023 and by that time I should be a very junior FO on the ERJ. What are the chances of getting the time off I need, or how difficult is it to swap schedules with the lack of pilots we're seeing lately? Just trying to figure out whether or not I need to lower my expectations and turn down the opportunity in advance.
