Thank you.

I live in SAT and there are three direct flights a day to DTW. The commute is easy.
July is 84 block/95 credit with 1/2 200 and 1/2 900 trips.

Thank you, really appreciate the quick response. I'm currently finishing my ratings at about 900 hours, trying to figure out how to bridge the gap to 1500. Hopefully, i'll be boosting your seniority number soon.

Default DFW Commute Question

Hi all, Skywest is my top choice to apply to and I’d like DFW as it’s closest to where I live. Moving to base is not an option but I’m only 1.5 hour flight from an outstation with multiple daily flights to DFW. I know about crash pads but how do you guys/gals who commute to DFW get around while on reserve? When I first started looking at regional life a place like LGA seemed easier due to the availability of mass transit but after reading countless forums on APC AND finding out I’d be taxed by base location and not home LGA lost its luster. Anyway, looking forward to your advice! Taxi? Uber? Leave a cheap car there? Thanks in advance!

You get taxed based on where you live.

You got bad info. Taxes are based on where you live, not where you're based.

Default Time between systems and sims

I’m just about to start systems and I was wondering if anyone knows how long of a break, if any, is between systems and sims? Thanks.

Sometimes 1 day. Sometimes weeks. You should be bidding on sim schedules soon.

Skywagondriver, check your PM's please. Also, from application to start date...what kind of time frame did you see?

Thanks

I’m doing this right now... commuting to DTW where I have a line until I can hold one in DFW/IAH.
So, what are the min. days off for a DTW F/O line-holder as a junior new-hire?

Also, how many days off as a 1-year "middle of the pack" F/O line-holder in DTW?

And, how many days off for say a "senior" 2-year line-holder F/O in DTW? So, what is the maximum days off for either a Capt. or F/O line-holder... maybe equal to hopefully 16, 17, or 18 days off?

Would these days off be similar in other bases like ATL and DFW?

Thanks, AU
