If you are a line holder, they will assign you flying that adds up to at least 75 hours of credit. If you fly more, you get what you earn. You will not typically be assigned less than 75 hours of credit. If you are not senior enough to hold a full line, you may be awarded less than 75 hours of credit, and they will add reserve days at 4.2 hours of credit per day to add up to at least 75 hours of credit.
If you are really senior, there is a *remote* chance that you can waive the minimum credit and be assigned less than 75 hours of credit. In that case, you will be awarded less than 75 and you will get paid what you credit even if it is less than minimum guarantee.

probably not going to get only 80 hours once you are a lineholder. average for jr lineholder seems to be around 90. thats about 4k/month plus perdiem. BTW you are only gaurenteed 75 hrs if you work your full schedule...pbs wont give you less than that anyway

What he says. Schedules here are atrocious. If you are a commuter, don’t expect to be home much. That’s why the goal is to move on and work half as much at a major for double the pay.

If you are a reserve, you get 75.6 hours of credit. If you pick up extra flying on your days off, you get that pay on top of the 75.6. If all the credit you fly on your actual reserve days adds up to above 75.6 hours, they will go back and pay you an additional 4.2 hours of pay for every day of reserve that you didn't get called, and any days you flew less than 4.2 hours, they will add up the pay to equal 4.2. This is called breaking guarantee.

Hey, question...When you say picking up extra time do you mean, crew-posted open time or company posted? Because, I keep getting mixed answers...I'm on reserve and have picked up crew-posted open time this month, but have been told I won't get paid for this unless I break minimum, and that crew-posted open time can not be used toward breaking guarantee.
Off day pickup does not count toward breaking guarantee, it is always paid above and beyond, even Dark Blue, Red or Orange open time. which is how you want it to pay, since if you didn't break guarantee with that flying you would be working your off days for free.

You will be paid above and beyond for ANYTHING that you pick up off sked+ on your days off. it makes no difference whether it is crew posted or true open time. It is above and beyond the 75.6 hours and is paid as it is advertised, either straight pay, 115%, 130% or 150% depending on how it is shown on Sked+.

I know you newer guys probably don't have much time in training, nor is it something that you want to focus a lot of energy on during that time, but reading through the pilot policy manual and some of the SAPA informational stuff on the EFB while sitting ready reserve would be time well spent.
A lot of the questions that come up here and on the Facebook page are covered in these documents. You'll also might be able to hold crew support and payroll to policy if you know it a little better.

If it helps my Hire date was 8/8/2018 and as of last week my income from that full year was 69,915 before taxes. That includes a $7500 part 135 newhire bonus and our pilot bonuses that are paid out twice a year. Also something to keep in mind is that the first 3-4 months were payed at the old pay scale which i believe was 37 bucks. I didn't pick up much extra flying however was at a junior base and sat 2 months of reserve getting called everyday.
