ALPA Drive 2.0
No, I’ve answered your question as brutally honest as I can. But you still didn’t get to the point. Why do you care enough to ask so many questions about where dues money goes if you don’t care it’s spent on midgets?

I already have answered this Nev. It is called educating myself and gaining knowledge. Are you expecting some profound answer?

My question is, when are the people behind this current push actually going get a vote on ALPA at Skywest happening? It's all well and good to send out packages and ALPA lanyards but I have yet to hear even a remote suggestion (or rumour) of what the game plan is here...it's been well over a year since this push began and seems to stagnate more than it seems to progress.
I can respect sitting on it til you think you have a good shot at victory, but in my opinion I cant see anyones view really changing from whatever it currently may be and honestly, I suspect given the make up of the pilot group as it stands today plus, it would likely succeed. Anyone have any insight into what is going on?

If SKW did go ALPA, which I wouldn’t be in favor for, then what? Our compensation is competitive, morale is good, a growing company and a good place to be. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. On the other hand, some of our ALPA regional brethren opt to come here. If I do get on with an ALPA major, I will fully embrace them. However, in my opinion, ALPA on the regional level, in many respects is like the fox guarding the hen house.
Over and out.

Like word said, we know what a failed drive looks like. This is the best way to avoid that.
Happy to answer any other questions on the drive.

The process is gathering contact information for over 5,000 pilots. There isn't much to report on while that takes place. What the OC needs is more people involved to help gather that information. It's as simple as signing up and asking the guys/gals you fly with if they've heard about ALPA and getting them to submit their information so they can learn more.
