Yes this exactly! It’s a cluster f&@! getting in and out of the terminal area. Traffic and construction is a nightmare for everyone.

How soon can one hold a line in LAX and DEN?

If you haven't made the move to PHX yet would moving to DTW be possible? That's where you'd hold a line sooner. Just even getting transferred to LAX or DEN will take a little bit. And you'd be back on reserve. Commuting to reserve sucks and leaves little chance to work extra. Living in DTW would probably be where you could make the most money the first 3-4 years...

Your first upgrade opportunity will also probably be DTW. Living in base while all of this happen will make life incredibly better.

The DEN CRJ base is probably 3x larger than LAX.

Phoenix is really where we want to be. All our family is there. I know commuting to reserve sucks! Been there, done that. I’m hoping I can tolerate it this time around for a short period.

Sounds like DEN might be a better/easier option for my situation.

Thank you guys for the responses. I appreciate it.

Has DEN continued to grow? I know a NH can hold it in training (CRJ) but upgrade times were on the longer side compared to the bases further east. Also if anyone has the date for the junior line holder in DEN that would be great!

PHX-LAX is a bad commute. LOTS of commuters. I work for AA and every time I do the flight we are full with 2 jumpseaters and those guys tell me they sometimes buy tickets it's that bad. PHX-DEN shouldn't be that bad.

I’ve heard the same thing about the commute to LAX. I would also like to know how long one would be on reserve there?

Thanks again fellas.
