Default Rescinded job offer?

Hello all,

I interviewed earlier this month, and the interview went very well. A week later I was called and told the interview went great and we set up a class date for March. Today I got the call my job offer was rescinded, they wouldn't tell me at all why. There is no logical reason I'd get the cut, I didn't hide anything from them, I have no accidents, no failures, I really don't get it. I was just wondering if anyone has had this happen or knows someone who has of maybe why they'd cancel my offer.

The only logical thing I can think of is I'm a cadet and yesterday I postponed my orientation in Denver on the 25th so I could stay home and fly since the weather has been poor this week but that seems like a poor reason to cut someone.

There’s got to be more to this story.
The only people I’ve seen removed from training had not disclosed training/135/121 failures or other information.

Interesting

I really don't get it. I have no criminal history. I have 1 speeding ticket and that's it. I failed my CFII and I told them about it, I even gave them the Notice of Disapproval for it. No accidents, no violations, I've never been fired. I just cannot think of any reason why I'd be let go.

Sometimes they watch social media.. never know.

I would at a minimum contact a recruiter and ask what the deal was, and if they won’t say... maybe ask for a second interview?
I dunno man. That sucks.

Have you ever done a background check on yourself? There may be something in there whether it’s right or not. It may be a pain in the butt, but worth a shot. Good thing everyone is hiring.

Last time I checked, SkyWest had never furloughed a pilot in the company's history.

That’s like the first thing they tell you in the welcome to SkyWest speech..

It was when I joined up a few years ago too.

I mean, I did make a FB post that I accepted a job at Republic. Republic is my first choice, I was keeping SkyWest as a backup but that seems like a poor reason too.

She told me I could apply again in 6 months so it's not like I got blacklisted I guess.
