Are we looking at the end of the DL CR7/9 here? There is near zilch in May bid pack and just a sprinkle of 200 overall.

LOL.

We’ll be seeing 70% of normal by 1 Aug 2020 domestically. International is going to take longer...

funniest thing I’ve heard all day. Unless you mean 2021. Pilots are terrible when it comes to living on a hope right up until the furlough and then being clobbered by reality.

For how long have you been a pilot domino? Or flying for a living I should say.

22 years. Furloughed three times, retired and now back at Skywest. I’ve seen this before. Or should I say. I’ve seen how this goes. This will be worse than anyone can imagine. This is the real deal. A cleansing of sorts. A resetting of generations of pilots and taking us back to the golden age when only a handful of people were flying.

problem is there won’t even be other jobs to be had either. Literally on the street.

Furloughed 3 times?! Holy $#!t, no wonder you’re salty.
I mean to your point air traffic is currently at levels not seen since the 1950’s but we live in a different world now with regards to advances in technology and medicine. There are things that will probably never be the same but people will still travel. The numbers of coronavirus cases and unemployment claims are indeed staggering and disheartening but there are over 330 million people in the US, nearly 8 billion on the planet. Life will go on.
The hope is that great minds will come up with a vaccine or at least a method that would allow for commerce and travel to gradually and safely resume until we get a vaccine.

Literally the entire planet is on pause. To pretend like we know what the end result is going to be is a fool’s errand.
