I believe reliability tracking is currently suspended. So anyone worried about that stuff over health shouldn’t.

In my opinion, Skywest handled this the best they could, probably better than a lot of other airlines, and the wait times for crew scheduling.... although they were about 30-40 minutes to speak to someone a few days ago are down to about a 15-20 min wait, so they are slowly catching up to the craziness. Some of the United trips got totally chopped up and I'm barely flying half of the assigned block, the delta trips look like they are sticking with less cancellations.

The airport now seems safer than the grocery store, so I really don't mind being there currently.

That tends to happen when you have 3 people in the airports these days and a million people lined up for toilet paper at the store.

Fortunately that was 12 days ago and I feel fine, and so does my wife, but seriously folks...
Dude! Call in sick for her! Either that or refuse to fly with her. Stand up for your crew and the passengers you are entrusted with.

get real. If it bothers you that much, stay home.
You don’t, hence the 20% part of my comment. You get that social distancing with 2 of 3 other crewmembers is better than 0 of three from a risk management standpoint, correct?

Also, I would stay home but they would give that trip to a reserve and he or she would be in the same place. I have integrity so I haven’t called in yet, though I do post trips for pickup when I can.

Any other questions?

Why are you saying new hires were furloughed?

Anyone not finished with LOE was sent home a couple weeks ago with no pay/benefits. They're calling it involuntary "admin leave," but it's a furlough for all intents and purposes.

“administrative leave without pay” and will be “recalled in order of seniority”

Nothing to see here guys! Obviously not a furlough!

Really???? Sounds exactly like one to me. It’s just a colorful renaming. It’s going to look so much better in the coming years when Skywest can say, never furloughed. However, we did do administrative leave without pay. NOT
