I was teaching CTP before and have been told it will be back tentatively May to have students ready to go for June classes. Got schedules for class dates and everything going forward. It would appear we will be back at it soon. So if you want to be at OO just hang tight.

I would research commute options out of your local airport that you'd be commuting from and look into regionals with east coast bases. Thought I heard that the ATL 200 is junior for Endeavor and they are hiring currently.
If you weren't already in a class at OO it's going to be a while before you're called back. I'd guess late Fall or early Winter this year to start class.
If you're planning that where-ever you'd go would be your last stop, Skywest would be the place, in my opinion, that offers the best stability, work rules, bases, etc... but in this hiring environment you take what you can get, when you can get it.

I was headed to ATP/CTP I believe April 2. Got the notification that training was shutdown about a week prior and I wouldn't be leaving. Then about a month later the tuition reimbursement contract I had was cancelled but I didn't have to pay anything back. My new training date was moved to a placeholder early December and my flight benefits came back a month prior. Then it was all updated again mid december and flight benefits removed. Portal profile shows active, but with a job title as FO Cadet.
Anybody else seeing something similar? Anybody that was just a few days out from ATP CTP like me?
I was able to retain a position at my flight school (non-flying and low pay) and make ends meet with some CFIing and Uber, but I'm getting antsy and thinking it may be time to start applying elsewhere. I just hate to get under contract and then get a call for OO. Although things are so different now, and being in FL, I may be better off with a change of plans anyway.

Same here. Minus the tuition reimbursement. I wasn't in that. CTP was supposed to be March 20th, March 31 class date. So it was about 48 hours notice when they pulled the plug. Shows cadet again.
I did bite the bullet and get my own ctp. I'm in the pool at 3 regionals and have apps in everywhere. I'm going to the first one that calls. But I'm young and have hopes it won't be my last stop. It may be worth it to wait to go where you want to end up. Thats up to you

out of curiosity, what age is that? you don’t have to be exact, I’m just always curious what that cutoff threshold is for different people.

I’m not that dude but I’ll let you in on my reasoning which is leaning toward lifer. I’m mid 40s, got on here at 40 in a career change. Feels like I would be 50ish by the time hiring got going and interested in someone like me. Then what, commute to Newark or something and be the plug just in time for the next meltdown? There just comes a time when you ask yourself where you’re running and what you’re chasing.
