As far as CRJ goes, 4 days for CTP, Sims for 3 days. We have a brief break to be home and take the ATP written. Indoc is 6 days, CBTs for 4 days, virtually, from home, 2 days off, then go back the day before we start our in person portion of class, which will be half a day in person, and the other half virtual.

Thanks- that helps me out a ton!

When you go to class half day in person and half virtual- how many weeks is that for ? Then sims after that I assume.

Is it worth bringing a car to initial training in SLC?

Ah man that brings back memories. I think so, just plan on giving your class mates rides to the training facility. They have a small bus that takes you to a local grocery store once a week if that’s your concern.

I never brought my car to initial, upgrade, or transition. It never made a difference for me, always someone in class willing to give rides.

Current first available CRJ class is Sept 21st. Took just over a week to hear back after the technical. Thanks everyone for their posts and good luck!

Does anybody know if SkyWest will be providing hotel accommodations during the virtual portion of Indoc/CBT or are you on your own until Sim/Procedures training?

I was planning on driving to SLC (1,000+ miles one way for me) just before CTP and I'd like to avoid multiple trips.

If you would like to remain in SLC during indoc/CBTs you would most likely have to pay for hotels out of pocket since they are flying you back home after CTP to complete indoc and CBTs “from the comfort of your current location” (home)

Thanks. Flying it is then. I'd assume having a car at training isn't really a necessity anyway.

It's not a necessity, but definitely nice to have. There isn't really much near the hotel on North Temple. If you want to be able to grocery shop at a nicer store than where the shuttle takes you, get a nice dinner somewhere that isn't Lofte's, or have access to many of the outdoor activities Utah has to offer, a car would be nice.
