Just curious, which grocery store are we talking about?

It took us to Smith's when I was there, but that was years ago. If you're in to better quality stuff, you'll have to head towards downtown to go to Harmons / Trader Joe's / Whole Foods / Sprouts. If you're not picky, Smith's is fine.

Getting downtown via the light rail isn’t terribly inconvenient either

Couldn't you just...park it at the airport for the less than a week you'd be at home in between?

That’s probably going to cost some $, and now they don’t have a car.

No because CTP is only one week (all in person) then I wouldn't need to be back in SLC until sim which is like a month later (indoc and ground school apparently are virtual now). My drive between SLC and my house is 2 days worth so driving doesn't seem like it's worth the hassle when I could just fly. Especially if having a car at training isn't necessary.

Indoc and CBTs are apparently virtual from home. Ground school is half day in person and other half virtual from the hotel. At least that’s what I’m seeing. So you’re looking at two weeks back home before returning.

So what do the majority of people in training do then? Stay during the 2 weeks or fly back and forth to home?

After CTP/ATP, you go home for 2-3 weeks for Indoc/CBT and go back (SLC/DEN) for ground and sims.

I'm guessing most people don't bring a car though, right?
