Skywest
Actually I wouldn't dismiss the fact that skywest will more than likely be parking RJs at some point. But their future, in my opinion, is very bright. Lots of 175s coming and almost every captain I flew with when I was there has quit. My guess is that Skywest will continue to find new contracts and grow. Or remain stagnant but certainly not shrink.

Because they have gotten so big, the fall will be dramatic. When the majors park the smaller planes for the larger aircraft, then the recession hits next year and flying is reduced again and more contracts lost, there will be no turboprops to protect the furloughs. Chip will cut what he needs to which might be as high as 400 pilots. That will help the staffing but I'm wagering 2016 isn't going to be a good year for regionals in general.

ELOHEL, SKW is hiring up the yang, adding more 175's (not announced yet), and those 700's that Mesa and everyone else thinks are up for grabs got extended to at least match the lease terms, the 50's will die one day but not anytime soon.
New 175 sim is confirmed for SLC. Also, the hangar is beyond jam-packed with new-hires. If OO is shrinking, that's news to me...

I must say OO is a sleeper, they wait and let all the small fish play around and then come in and start splashing sprite in all ya all faces. SGU FTW.

Yeah, SKW management has always been very good at putting airplanes to work. They still find flying for the 50 seaters.

You can say whatever you want about SKW management but the peeps calling the shots know what they're doing. They've added 20+ 50's in addition to the 40+ 175's and 4 DL 900's (very quietly). All while eliminating 38 120's, dropping the upgrade time in the process.
The bosses might not have the pilots best intrest always at the top of their list. However, making money is at the top of investors list, and SKW is very good at adding flying capable of doing that.

My only regret is not coming over from Mesa sooner.
