For the record, 15% on a 20hr 4 day works out to... an extra 90 bucks for a new hire. That's probably the difference of PB&J or ordering a Pizza that month, and the company knows it.
The real problem is the people picking up standups and locals for that 15%. Really? An extra $25? I see a whole lot of crew posted pairings with a lot more than that on them that just sit there. How about we start looking out for each other first instead of enabling the company to keep the staffing levels so horrendous.

Well can you blame the company? WE voted in a contract that allows people to cover their flying at 115% instead of 150%. WE as pilots keep picking up that flying. No reserves and still NOTHING in open time. It's working exactly as management planned. There are those that gripe, and then there are the other ones looking out for themselves that somehow were excited about the extra 15%.

Just last night I picked up 2 bjx local/2days from other crewmembers. Screw CS.

We get so upset with what the company is doing but don't do anything to help us out as a whole. The company knows that we are not united because they pay SAPA to keep us that way. So everyone looks out for themselves and then wonders why we can't get anything to change.
I never pick-up Open Time and if I want to do more flying, I pick it up from other crew members. And I never take the extra money offered. It makes me sick that people have to add money to get time off and it is a joke that we are awarded 90+ hours when you have more reserves in ORD on the E175 that you have for all the other CRJ base COMBINED!! I have an idea. If you want to pick up extra DTW flying, then do it in the E175 since they have the staff.
Good thing we have two more reps that can see why PBS screwed you. But there is nothing wrong with PBS or staffing. We just need more training on how to use PBS.

Hopefully a good portion of the 130 CRJ FOs still shown as in training will be online pretty soon.

That would be nice, but considering we lost 32 FO's to attrition in January (11 so far in Feb) and we are sending another 30 or so to upgrade in March, the simple fact is that we will never be caught up in the CRJ if we keep taking more hours that other airlines can't fly.
