I'm a CFI and sat through a Skywest presentation sometime ago and was told Skywest controls the whole EMB-175 market. That if a airline wants to get a new EMB-175 they must go through Skywest. I thought that was interesting. Than I heard from some other CFIs who are envoy pipeline people that Envoy is getting 100 EMB-175 from somewhere. Just thought it was interesting to hear. Figured some of yall would have a good idea of whats going on with that.

I never heard anything about Skywest controlling the E-175 market. Republic is the largest operator of E-175. Envoy is getting 40 from what I heard. Wikipedia shows 40 orders and 90 options for Envoy.
Maybe what they meant was that since Skywest has so many orders and options (including the E2), other orders have to get in line, but that's the only thing I can think of. Compass also has a good number of E175s.

Could somebody post on current times to hold a base and line,
specifically in DEN or COS?
Just got an offer, try to chose an equipment. Is it really make sense to get into CRJ to get into Colorado faster, or ERJ have similar seniority now.

I believe Skywest had 100 firm, 100 options originally as well as another order for the E2 (can't remember the numbers but think it was 100/100).
I'm not promoting SJS but get the facts kind of right

Actually republic has fewer than Skywest, they have 50 odd 170s and 32 175s according to APC. Skywest has 46 on APC however we have a total of 58 coming to United (contracted) 16 (I think) for Alaska and then 19 for Delta. The initial contract for United was 40.
I believe Skywest had 100 firm, 100 options originally as well as another order for the E2 (can't remember the numbers but think it was 100/100).
