You don't really have to have anything. I only had 1 day off between my systems test and sim, then two days off between sim and IOE though. Stuff moves fast so it's good to be prepared.

Does skywest allow you to give travel benefits to other family/friends if you don't have a spouse. Also when would these benefits be available after training day one?

You get two enrolled friends on United and one on Delta. They're available after 30 days of employment if I remember right. You have to pay imputed income for enrolled friends. You don't for spouse and family members.

Delta does not have enrolled friends... They have domestic partner or spouse.

I'm not married and my girlfriend is on my Delta benefits as a travel partner. It's $100/year plus the tickets aren't totally free. Cheaper and better priority than buddy passes though.

Heh, good luck if you don't have the laundry list of required docs listed on the Delta site for Domestic Partner and they find out. If you do, nevermind, but it isn't as easy as you make it sound.

To put a travel companion on your Delta benefits requires zero documentation. The companion travels at the same priorities as a spouse, though they are required to pay a yield fare.

Registered Travel Companion = No documentation and travels on a lower priority than you or your spouse/domestic partner but higher than buddy pass. They pay something similar to yield fare. This is how it was at Mesaba. Not sure on exact details with SkyWest.

Domestic Partner = Requires proof of partnership for past 6 months at a minimum, e.g.. checking account, morgatge, apartment lease contract and a lot of other things. They travel on the same priority as you do...usually S3C for Delta Connection carriers with your date of hire. You pay imputed income but it's usually quite a bit cheaper than yield fare like a buddy pass or Registered Travel companion. Again, this was the deal between Mesaba and Delta back in the day.

Ya I saw that, sorry guys. I was under the impression Delta didn't have travel companions.

Has anyone seen the training schedule? Are classes scheduled into 2014?
