Truly amazing. Your company posted a real bad first half of the year. They have announced the parking of a substantial part of the fleet. Then they announce yesterday they paying a dividend to share holders, and not one of you care! Your more interested in the touchy feely get along games between the diffrent sided of the house. Where is the outrage over miss use of company cash? If we ever going to increase our leverage or power we need to think like a businessmen not a high school student council.

You work for United, right? People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Your management has been raiding the piggy bank for years.

I saw that! Something like the 77th consecutive quarter that they paid out a dividend. Personally, I don't care if they pay out dividends or compensate executives with stock. But don't cry poor and ask for concessions from the front line employees of you are.

You're talking to pilots here. Good luck with that.

What stones did I throw? Do you disagree with my views on what your company is doing? I have seen this movie before, do not wait to act as it will come on deaf ears when its to late.

Actually, it doesn't because my main point still stands. Who cares if the individual works for SKW mainline or not?

Good job missing the point, though.

Where did the term mainline when referring to SKW employees even come from? I've never once heard anyone refer to a SKW pilot as mainline other than on these forums. I assume that was started by someone at another regional and has never been said by a SKW pilot.

I know at least a few pilots at just about every regional in the US and it might shock people to find out that all of them are the same.

So it's SkyWest mainline as opposed to the SkyWest regional? How do I get a job with the mainline portion? Surely the pay and work rules are better. Maybe it's the guys who fly the new shiny 175s? that's gotta be it.

I was thinking the same thing, just felt like it was too stupid to comment on. Now, if there was a Skywest Express, I would understand...

The joke which seems that everyone not at Skywest take it as some insult or something. The insides joke has been that the bro was flying Skywest express and the CRJ side was mainline. People have taken it as SkyWest is "mainline" vs expressjet pilot.

Those that have been at Skywest have known about the inside playfull rivalry between bro vs CRJ that we even had videos to mock each other during training.
