Hey all, I wanted to pick your brain about SKW as an option: is the E-Jet or CRJ the better path for a SoCal guy? How long to get off reserve? How about an LAX base? Is there a difference in training? Which one do the pilots like better? Thanks!

CRJ is the way to go - everywhere ...

You should be able to hold LA within 6ish months.
Oh and go CRJ. There are a lot of LA FOs with bids in for the 175.

Let's say I went E-Jet... reserve? LAX?

I think that depends on whether a portion of the DL 175s go to LAX and how many of the 19 are based in LA. Another thing to keep in mind is a lot of CRJ FO's have bids in for the 175 transition, but have been getting bypassed. Once they start getting awarded the transfer a lot of them will switch over including to LAX meaning your your seniority progression will be a lot slower as compared to your CRJ counterparts.
Long story short, go to the CRJ and when you're seatlock is up, transition to the 175 if you want.
OTOH, if you absolutely must fly the 175 and want LAX, go to Compass.

I get the advice, I'm just curious what that looks like in terms of reserve time and time to LAX. Are there any real numbers yet?

Would anyone be interested in buying a cooler bag? Its the Aerocast cooler with laptop bag. $80 new.

Bought it when I started flying in Feb. Haven't really used it as much as I thought I would. Getting a lot less 4 day trips now as well.

You don't have enough posts for a PM but I'm interested if it's the Pro II version.

Just awarded LAX, 1 year in.....
I plan on being on RSV for a while, still better than commuting.
That's just me though.

CRJ: 6-7 months to hold LA. Junior line holders have about a year at the company. LA is one of the more senior bases.

Ok, what about SFO or DEN?
