No. Probably not. Have a line here and building my time pretty quickly. I am already networking and every time I jumpseat I am requesting letters of recommendation from people to add to my account. Given that so many captains here don't have degrees, I'll be moving on ahead of them.

Geez! You hold a line already! If I remember correctly you started indoc September 10, and finished the SIMS on the 20th..I'm guessing you have like 2000 hours on the E175 already. You are my hero, will be glad to assist you when your CLR doesn't add up.

You know what is really annoying, that you get a 4 day CN trip that pays 19 hours and then in open time there is another 4 day trip that pays the same but starts a day earlier in the month so I can get 1 weekend with my wife and lo and behold I can't swap the trips because not enough reserves. Why does reserves matter, they need someone to fly 1 trip and will give the other to some other reserve. it doesn't change a thing for crew support. Anyone know of any tricks to getting it swapped?

Hang up and call back until someone swaps it for you.

Or as I like to call the top 500 "SLC CA" :) Speaking of which, we did have one of those leave that was 565 and only has another 10 or so years left in the industry. I'm just speaking from experience in those that I have flown with that seemed fine to stay are now updating their log books. Maybe it has nothing to do with the way the company is treating us and it could just be that there is finally some hiring going on.

I do love how everyone on the SAPA forums thinks we can improve reserve in any way. We have been promised reserve improvements for years. Never going to happen.

Junior guys in SEA and PDX were hired in May and July of last year. I just don't think there are that many more people who are looking for a NW base. PDX could see as many as 70-80 crews on the ERJ by the end of the year.

Good evening and thanks in advance.

What would you expect the timeframe to be to get a SEA/PDX domicile?

It's hard to say. We are adding 8 more planes between the 2 bases before the end of the year. That means an additional 55 to 65 crews. My guess would be 3 to 5 months tops. Could be as quickly as right out of training.

As sadly as it sounds, Skywest is shrinking, so is ExpressJet. I guess the only airline growing in IAH is Mesa. Houston is doomed I guess.

United has publicly said it is downsizing Iah because of the oil bust and transferring capacity to growing markets like den sfo ord

Word,

What is the upgrade time at SkyWest (assuming you already have 100 hours of Part 121 time) if one were to be willing to take any base and aircraft type is not important?

Thanks in advance.
