I know CCB was super helpful already but here goes...IAH out of training isn't feasible right now. The most junior FO there now is a 7/15 hire. The company is currently awarding four FO spots but I count at least 25 FOs (IAH as their top choice) trying to transfer in. Reserve may not be too long once someone is there, there were only four reserve lines for FOs in March.

It's true that the past doesn't predict the future but as of right now it looks like it would take nine months to a year.

No you won't get Houston out of training. It could take 6 months to a year. Reserve just depends on movement. Houston has been shrinking and no one knows where all the 700's are going, or how small the Houston base is going to get. With all that it's still better here than the other 2 regionals that have bases here.

As sadly as it sounds, Skywest is shrinking, so is ExpressJet. I guess the only airline growing in IAH is Mesa. Houston is doomed I guess.

Not sure how adding 34 EJets in the next 9 months is shrinking...

I think he/she meant IAH.

Yes, that's what I meant. In response to a comment from OFF LINE who suggested that Skywest ops in IAH are shrinking. Is there anyone out there who can give more insightful information of what's going on in IAH. Why the operation is shrinking over there? thanks

UA is done with RJs in general. Mesa has the Emb-175s from UA in IAH and Skywest doesn't. Mesa is growing there.
