This is bad advice going forward. There will be no more sitting around for ERJ pilots as the new planes come online.

We've seen this happen time and again and it will happen again. Furthermore there are a lot of folks in Ord that want west coast. We have 153 FOs in Chicago with about 100 or so lines, you will see a big shift out west with transfers and then the senior folks will transition. There are a lot of FOs already putting off upgrade in senior bases, a year doesn't matter to them to upgrade on the 175 later.

Sitting reserve I'm assuming? My buddy is a May hire and isn't holding a line yet. I'm assuming you'll get a line quicker in DTW. Trying to minimize my reserve time. Either MSP or DTW will work.

Have you looked at the standing bid list? Every FO that wanted the west coast is gone. Even some that don't want it but were forced to go there to fly. ORD isnt getting any more flying so from now on its just the slow trickle of upgrades that leave. Yet like you said, that will balance out with transitions and people coming back that didn't want to leave in the first place. So ORD is not a place you want to be on the 175. Oh p.s. 77 targeted lines for October with 153 FOs. Endless reserve

Doesn't mean people won't add once they know they can hold a line, almost everyone I fly with is a commuter, like you said there's a ton of reserve in ORD (Tracy said it'll even out soon ;) ) , do you think they would sit reserve or instead commute a little further (if any) to hold a line? Upgrade is at a year and a half, I fly with FOs that have been a year on the 175 and only have 200-300 turbine, they know they need to get out and fly.

Sure, but every dvr so far showed the same amount of upgrading...

What I mean is, no matter how many crj ca leave for 175 ca, only 40 upgrades will go crj ca. Make sense?

So don't look at it as omg 80 upgrades.its 40 crj upgrades and possibly a few 175.
