Besides, someone getting hired now will not upgrade in 2 years. I don't know why people keep assuming current upgrade times should likely apply to new hires-unless it's a period of 12 months or less. Skywest has literally hired over 2000 pilots in the past 2 years. They aren't all going to upgrade within 2 years...or at least it's unlikely IMO

2000 FOs hired in last two years - possibly.
The Fo with 2000 FOs junior to him has many many years of longevity.
