Hello all! I interviewed at express jet last week and was hired. I am interviewing this week at Republic. I am going to interview at Skywest in a couple of weeks and envoy after that. Can anyone of you fellow pilots give me an idea about reserve times/upgrade times with Skywest ORD? Right now, I'm operating under the assumption that they can get that base right out of training . Feel free to correct me if need be.
Reserve in ORD right now is about 4-6 Months depending on the time of year.

Thinking about applying.. realistically between kpdx and kslc & kfat would be the best option if I wanted to live on base ... in terms of upgrade time

If you get your own room you can do what ever you wish. I have been through training five times at SkyWest and would not recommend having the wife there for all of sim. I have always thought that sim was the most difficult part of training in terms of studying on your own. Now on days off I would always go home.

It is not confirmed. It all depends on where you go to sims. If you stay in Slc you will have your own room. If you go to cvg you will either have a suite with two rooms (doors) or you will share a regular two bed hotel room. It seems that every other class gets Slc while the other goes to cvg.

Everyone I know (myself included) that did sim in CVG had a 2 bedroom suite with their sim partner. 2 separate rooms, shared living room and kitchen

In cvg right now. Half my class got that setup and the rest of us are in a different hotel sharing rooms unless you want to pay for your own. No kitchen no microwave. Only a mini fridge.

Wow.. that is complete bs. That is far too long to not be able to make your own food or anything else. I was at the residence inn during my sims in April and was pleased with the setup. Bummed to hear this
