I don't think you are seat locked for an upgrade out of new hire training. Only if you transition to another aircraft and stay in the right seat.

One year seat lock to upgrade for new hires. Training freezes can be waived for company need.

I'm a new hire so I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. How are you finding this out? Where can we see that type of info on SWOL?

Sure, no problem... Go to Standing Bid List, choose 'Awards', then search for the most recently awarded CA on whichever airframe. You'll see that pilot's name and employee number. Then go to the Directory and search for that pilot. Their hire date will show up (2/23/15 for most junior CRJ CA).
