I'm wondering if the company will ever pause the training schedule to let IOE get caught up with training. A month wait, on a new airplane is a long time to sit!

Thanks.

But you're still getting paid minimum guarantee in the meantime, right?

Doubt it, there was over 20 check airmen in last class and another class in January, the process slowed because one of the two FAA guys on the 175 quit the FAA to go work for a regional. CRJ side is seeing people moving in faster than they can train them.

Minimum new hire guarantee (65 hrs) - yes - I think so. I don't think reserve guarantee (75 hrs) starts until the first day of IOE.

I finished my check ride first week of November. No call yet. Also on the CRJ.

75 hours kicks in after your LOE.

As much as I would love to read through over 500 pages of text I'd rather not haha. I just had a few questions, I'm a new guy just doing his casual airline search.

Skywest seems interesting. How do you guys who work there now enjoy it?
Whats the upgrade time to Captain? How long are you on reserve as an FO and what are your "junior" bases? When is your contract up and how well do you feel it is now?

I'm an east coast guy, originally. So i'd like to stay near this side of the coast for a base (IAH/ORD)

Skywest does not have a contract as they do not have a union. They have voted no to a union at least 3 separate times in the past 15 years.

Good luck.

I feel that is super sketchy. How do others like being non-unionized?
