Same here, man. It's a good place to be.

And let's cut the bull...Envoy is a sh*ty airline that treats it's employees like cattle. Keep your flow, the whole thing is smoke and mirrors to keep you chained to a regional while everyone else without a flow will be motivated to improve their odds for a legacy by making themselves better, more well rounded candidates....

Many of them are not even keeping up with logbooks anymore because they are so sold on the whole thing working out as described. American has been using the flow carrot for over twenty years and for those that did flow it took three times longer than what they were promised.

I disagree... I use my American benefits more then the other two. United is WAY overbooked on every flight and all Delta stuff goes through ATL.

Are you AA-dedicated?

Can any SkyWest pilots out there give me info on sim instructor pay? Hours per event, min guarantee, ability to do 2 sims a day, average credit per month, etc.? Thanks in advance.

When you see those taxes come out of those bonuses it isn't as glorious as it may seem. You can keep those 12 hour 4 days. A JFK commute is horrible and even if you do make 60k and move, how far will that go in NYC.

Enough with the ignorance about bonus taxing. There are many reasons why one might choose SkyWest over those other 2, but your lack of understanding of how bonuses are taxed is not one of them.

Sim instructors make good money, but the job is only available to captains. They do work doubles. It would be years before the position would be available to a new hire.

Don't you have to be to get the benefits?

Enlighten me then oh tax expert. 48% withheld. Get about half of that back in April. A bonus does not count as income. All these ads and recruiting ploys are claiming "60k" first year blah blah blah. They are counting the bonus and even republic is counting per diem as income.

I know it's double occupancy, but is it a suite with two separate bedrooms with a joined common area? I have only stayed at a residence inn before with a prior company that had a "split" style floor plan with each individual getting their own room and bathroom with a shared common area. Also, the packet states that all transportation will be provided to required training. If one wanted to go in on a weekend etc, flight safety etc, would you recommended trying to get a car there, or just can it etc? Sorry for the questions if they seem stupid, got a class date and am trying to figure everything out. Anybody that has any tips for training, ( food, what to wear, what to do, what to not do, etc) please feel free to pm me ) thx again everyone, merry Christmas

If you are going to SLC for new hire it will most likely candlewood. Not terrible, one of you gets your own space while the common area has bed in it for the other guy. In sim you each get your own room. I you are able to i would highly recommend a car. It will help your sanity to not be tied to the hotel, also just to run to the grocery store whenever you want. The rooms have a kintchen-ette so you can prepare meals. Good Luck

There are plenty of sim instructors who are FOs, they do CTP and FTD, not sure of the schedules or pay.
