What is the wait like for IOE on the CRJ?
Should be getting better since we only had 1 December class. Someone here said we have more check airman now though? I just got set free today so my wait begins as a Jan 2 new hire. I'll try to keep the thread updated when I get scheduled. |

Heard 4 crews pinked the LOE within the last few days. This is the first AQP initial group.

Why aren't they studying the gouge. Failures suck and impede progress down the road. Especially the firing kind.

Just spoke to a friend, very smart guy. Failed LOE, first bust ever. No gouge, new syllabus, FAA watching. Apparently things have been pretty disorganized form the get go. Only two groups have passed the LOE within the footprint. Many others in extra time before taking the ride. Newhire quality low. Something to think about before taking the ERJ bid, at least anytime soon.

Other than SKW, what regional training programs have YOU been thru?

That said, the training program is more thorough and less arbitrary than some other places, so some folks will do better here with the structure than at other places. At some places it can come down to luck...if your sim partner sucks, you're hosed. |

I don't understand how you fail LOE unless you're really weak or nervous about checkrides. AQP of all things allows you leeway to make an error and come back from it so in theory I'd be a lot less nervous to take an AQP ride. One of my original hangups about going to to the 175 a couple years back was it not being AQP.

I'm sure all those folks felt the same way.

Seriously, how do you fail an aqp ride? That's like being the person who claims to be a bad test taker, oh you're bad at the part where you prove what you know? No worries, here is a second chance to get it right.. oh you're still stupid? Well, hmm. Head off to mesa
