I worked at TransPac all of last year and they had 8 students they said to test it out. They offered instructor jobs to TransPac instructors and the syllabus was bring written for a 120 day program or something along those lines. Pretty much another ATP. As far as Skywest goes, not sure how much more they'll invest in it. It's still on the quiet side right now but I know they did kick it off in 2017.

No website or anything but you can see its trademarked already by the company who owns TransPac.

How could this produce more then a couple dozen pilots a year?
It doesn't pass the smell test.

It just started 2 months ago. Starting small and expanding after the trial run. I mean they only have 2 airplanes....

I just applied to SKW and wanted to get a jump on studying for the ATP written using Sheppard Air. The operator talked me into buying the interview prep, but the software says not to use for any regional other than "for Mesa, Go, Piedmont, Trans States, Commutair , Republic, Spirit, Miami Air, ExpressJet & Air Wisconsin interview tests."

Is this a total waste of time for interviewing at SkyWest?

Use SA for the written obviously and follow the steps.

Use the gouges for the interview. As stated, Will Fly For Food has some great ones out there. Then interviewers want to see you take the initiative and use all available resources to better yourself. Obviously you will need good technical knowledge for high speed aerodynamics, turbine ops, electrical, WX, IFR FARs etc.. The interview is to give you the chance to show what you got in ground school.

Contrary to what everyone says about regional hiring, SkyWest still denies some people during the interview process. I dont know how people do that, but SkyWest's while phylosophy is to weed people out through ground school, and it works.

Study, be prepared, show initiative, be normal and social and you'll be fine. This is a great place to be. You probably keep seeing that same plug all over the place, but it's true. The training is high quality stuff and the people genuinely care about teaching you life long knowledge. Best of luck.

It is useless for Trans States and Mesa and SkyWest.... the Interview test prep does have some limited value if you haven't been exposed to those topics because they come up in the interview on the edges.

I did find it useful for ExpressJet and it does preprare you for the ATP written.
