Big big announcements don't happen on Tuesdays for public companies.
Nov.1 is a Tuesday.

I was in the 7/25 class and CTP had no affect on seniority, 3 cadets in class, and then social security number after them

My guess for the big announcement is a Boise 175 domicile to open Jan 1st.

For the 98% of the pilots working here that have no desire to go to Boise, it's not much of an announcement though.

Perhaps they've inked a deal to swap out CRJs for more 175s.

My take IAH is salvageable..(via the new AA flying) the Company still has 100 firm orders for 175's. They want to secure those before they have to pay a penalty. UA cant own a regional per there FA contract.. my guess is thery are about to raise pay.. not via a bonus. But straight up Pay. And increase the pilot profit sharing. Time will tell..

Don't forget SKYW INC. also holds an aircraft leasing company.

Actually, all the big announcements have been on Tuesdays since I've been here. (5 years) Including the initial 175 announcement. Bad news is on Fridays.

I was in the same class as this guy. Maybe I'm mistaken. Maybe it was just a coincidence that the CTP guys were ahead of the people that came in with ATPs. Now that I think of it, there was one guy that was towards the front of the class that had his CL65 type already.

As far as I am aware, and I'm pretty sure about it. Only the first 100 were firm orders (the ones already on or coming on property by 2017). The outstanding 100 are options, not firm orders. I could be wrong though.

100 firm 100 option for current 175 version, 100 firm 100 option for the E2

Doesn't the E2 violate scope - just like the rice jet?
