What about the E2 violates scope?

The weight do to the geared engines.. and beefed up landing gear. They are convertible to regular E175's..

Just to be clear. CTP has absolutely nothing to do with seniority. Misinformation drives me crazy.

Ahhhh ok....I thought that the only difference was the wing design change. Didn't realize there was more to it. Thanks for the info

The E2 is actually quite a bit heavier than the MRJ, both over the current scope weight limit.

I hope Alaska Pilots are working on scope language.

For the 98% of the pilots working here that have no desire to go to Boise, it's not much of an announcement though.

Perhaps they've inked a deal to swap out CRJs for more 175s.

Oh no not the dreaded "big announcement" again. Probably the training dept starting rumors for sport.

BOI is actually a pretty good place to live for pilots. Low cost of living, big enough but not too big, lots of outdoor/mountain recreation opportunities. And no weird liquor laws (or other cultural oddities). I bet 10% off the pilot group would bid in immediately.

So it isn't a "big announcement" but a "big sky announcement" ...
