Does anyone remember whether or not SkyWest offered a bonus before January 2016 for prior 135 people and for those with a PIC/SIC jet type rating? I never received any such bonus after IOE. Talking with a buddy of mine from our Jan 2016 ground who has both 135 experience and a type as I do, he claims that he did. I recall that they began to offer the bonus in April and thus thought that I was ineligible to receive it. Do you fellas reckon that I ought to speak with recruiting about it?

You can go from any plane to any left seat. Doesn't matter when it comes to picking a plane at new hire

Is upgrade time for a new hire any different between the CRJ or the ERJ? Or is it all around the same time?

Not sure about the E-Jet, but the CRJ is around 2 years, 5 months or so.

It's 2 years now on the CRJ. Oct '14 hires just got November upgrade class dates.

Well now you can come back and start at the same pay rate that you had when you left. And then upgrade in two years for that valuable PIC time. ;)
Besides, someone getting hired now will not upgrade in 2 years. I don't know why people keep assuming current upgrade times should likely apply to new hires-unless it's a period of 12 months or less. Skywest has literally hired over 2000 pilots in the past 2 years. They aren't all going to upgrade within 2 years...or at least it's unlikely IMO |

I think you missed my tongue in cheek post. Was intended to make fun of a certain user who hasn't been around
