Latest bid is out. Most junior CA (CRJ DTW) is a 2/23/15 hire. So that's 1 year, 10 months to upgrade...

(... And endure endless reserve torture in Detroit...)

How are you all calculating how low upgrade time is?

Look at who got awarded, then go on swol directory type in name and see their date of hire

And as for the calculation deduct their date of hire from the awarded date. Since he was asking about calculations and such.... wink

Just to provide some additional color… specifically as it comes to reserve fun in DTW.

The latest upgrade award had a total of 32 upgrades – all but two were for the CRJ. Two were ERJ.

And while the most junior upgrade is indeed 1 year and 10 months. The most senior went to someone with more than 13 years seniority. The median is at 3 years and 6 month which is still very good in my opinion. Just know what you sign up for if you take the first available...

Who ever takes median upgrade into consideration? I'm not really sure that tells you anything. You either take first upgrade, or you wait until you can hold a line/your base of choice. We have an 18 year FO here. We have captains who downgrade for QOL. Everyone has a different idea of how this all works.
