Comair endeavored to raise the regional bar.
See what I did there?
Gee, I wonder how this will end?

Fair enough. It was late. Happy new year

Most of them just want to live where they like (in the West) and don't care much about the regional industry. They certainly don't care what you or anyone from another airline thinks.

They're not in it to make gains, which is long term impossible in the regional industry.

If you want to make gains, update your apps and move on. The entire point of the regional business model is to PREVENT gains.

Regional pilots arguing about a few bucks here and there is like ho's arguing about relative virginity.

I think it's great that you continue your quest to invoke ignorance and apathy amongst what will be a huge pilot group. No sense in having 4500 pilots working with 50,00 other pilots to make our craft strong.

Plus it's just a few bucks here and there.....

I don't think that's Rick's point at all. I think his point is you can scream and stomp your feet all you want. This pilot group will never get it.

No, I'm telling you how it is. Don't like it, might want to start on your logbook.

I voted yes ten years ago.

I agree with what rick is saying. Stop wasting your time in vain trying to improve this place. It is futile, and we have grown too big for things to change. Start improving yourself and be resolved to GTFO of the regionals as fast as you can. Only then will you see gains- at a real airline like a legacy or JetBlue/Alaska!! SkyWest is a regional, it's crap just like every other regional. 2018 = #YesWeCan #TimeToMoveOn

We almost did get it..... 46% of us knew the obvious thing to do. 5% isn't that much. We needed about 100 more no voters

I'm just stating facts as I see them, not invoking anything. Personally I had hoped to have a realistic option to stay at SKW, for QOL. But ultimately , after almost 15 years, QOL for mid/senior CAs dropped below legacy new hire QOL.

Staying and fighting a very long uphill battle didn't make sense at that point. And success might endanger the long term prospects of the company, ie COMAIR. Nature of the beast. If you want to fight hard for solid gains and then enjoy them for the rest of your career, do it at a major. At least there your daily efforts directly impact your long term stability and compensation.

I voted yes ten years ago, not because there was an obvious need for a union, but to prevent what ultimately happened, a gradual and unilateral erosion of pay and, especially, QOL.
