Great thanks for the numbers, seems like my options now are Envoy, Mesa and Expressjet....?....any others I'm missing?

I would just move if I were you.

That's what I did.

All three of those have their problems. Expressjet is losing 100 planes, Envoy is moving most of its operation east, and Mesa is Mesa, almost as low as a Hulas company.

Go where the quality is, Skywest. A place where you will be treated well and there is a future.

Crap...yeah that's what I was thinking.
the website lists IAH with FO openings?

It says there are openings at specific bases? Or it just shows all domiciles as "open"?

Pretty much anyone wanting IAH needs to hope Mesa folds....

Be smart about picking your airline. If you get screwed by going to a company that isn't stable you'll be taking a huge hit on your life just to live in base.

Of those, only Envoy is worth considering. Things change in this business fairly quickly.

If you remain living in San Antonio, you will be commuting no matter what. It is either a driving commute or a flying commute. And, you really can't drive 4 or 5 hours to get to base.

SkyWest has warm weather bases in Arizona if you decide to move and don't want to live in the frozen tundra, and you also don't want to live in California. I would go with SkyWest if I were you.

How many more 175s are going to be delivered?

WesternSkies 02-25-2017 09:33 AM

Skywest Wikipedia page is typically pretty accurate for fleet info, orders, deliver and in which livery.

Short answer - about 15 and they will all be here by end of 2017.

TimetoClimb 02-25-2017 02:15 PM

Looks like from the wikipedia page 100 orders for E175s were placed initially and 18 added later. So with about 90 in the fleet at the moment, does that mean we're looking at 25-30 more deliveries this year ?

Orders are contingent on placing them with partners even with firm orders

Believe it's 100 firm, 100 optional for current generation, 100 firm 100 optional for next gen.

zondaracer 02-25-2017 03:16 PM

Total E-175s will be 104. There are 96 options plus the orders and options for the E2s as Squallrider said.
