I actually had a check airman ask me what the rumors were because new hires know better than they do. Lol

Its expensive to open a base, so we're not going to open bases just because we have lots of flights there. We got burned on ATL. Skywest use to be a airline of outstation bases, such as SMF, MRY, SBA, SAN, SBP, etc. The only ones that have stayed open are MX bases. So I have a hard time seeing anything like SAN or ATL. BOI does make sense with all the RON's and I believe quite a few of our guys already live there.

It's informal, but it works well. If you make a reasonable effort to get to work and don't set yourself up for routine fails, they'll let it slide.

If you miss two trips/month for a year, expect to hear about it.

You clowns aren't getting a San Diego base.. why you ask? Because the shot callers want the bigger clowns (that we own and can't staff their own airplanes) to be doing the new 175 flying out of SAN. Shouldn't be regional flying as is and certainly will not be once qx drops the ball... again.

Yeah....okay....settle down.

Maybe that should be negotiated into the contract that is coming? And who said Alaska is the only one we fly for in SAN?
