There were also E175 stuff. (But didn't realy look at it) 175 stuff is nothing to write home about. Plus lots of CRJ guys senior to me are bidding the 175. Probably to trigger an app review at a major. CRJ seems like the way to go to move up quickly. At least right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
EFB checklist
O.K., who would be the best person to speak with about keeping the paper checklist? I have noticed they are slowly disappearing in the aircraft. I appreciate all the effort to have the ability to review electronic releases, dmi's, and such on the EFB, but this is going too far. Seriously, how often do they need to print a new checklist; once a year? Yeah, let's go heads down into an often glitchy efb where you have to punch in a code to open it up, swipe to the right location, swipe to the right page on the checklist. By this time I would already have the paper checklist completed. Then have to get back to the page with... approach plate, taxi diagram, etc. Whoever thought this was a great idea obviously doesn't fly anymore.

Hardly any of management flies. 2 at Director level very occasionally fly. Many in management don't or can't get medicals. So ya, we are told how to fly planes by people that don't fly planes? |
Alright, how about a shutdown check?
Both EFBs off and in the bag. Look at each other... |
Just fill out an ASAP for every leg.

As for who to talk to, ASAP every single leg as well as talking to the FAA directly to voice concern over the safety implications of switching programs during critical phases of flight and not being able to adequately display the required charts while needing to run checklists and how prone to freezing and crashing our surfaces are. |

And recite the checklist. The fo knows it, and the caption definitely knows it in the crj because it's literally the shutdown flow
