Probably not, however hopefully they keep their AA flying. With all of the Alaska flying in the PNW, it would be a good choice to come here too. We will be growing the PNW with 15 Alaska planes.

Were these the ones that were supposed to go to QX?

It might actually. I believe their Delta contracts are up in 2018.

Does anyone know typically when they will award captain positions for newly delivered aircraft?

With new DL E175s birds entering ORD in March (I believe), what month would one expect an upgrade award?

SkyWest won't know where Delta will want to place the airplanes until about three months out from delivery. Look for indications in the Vacancy report early next year.

"The 15 Delta aircraft arriving in March 2018 will be flown out of the Northeast and crewed out of Chicago." Isn't this indicative that they will be placed in ORD?

Tentatively, yes. Delta doesn't finalize their flight schedules until about four months out, so everything is subject to change. This is the airline industry, believe it when you see it.

If you simply want to know when the associated Captain slots will be awarded, about two to three months in advance.

The 45 E175s are very good news....

WesternSkies 10-02-2017 11:50 AM

For clarity, the 15 announced today do not have a base. Ord will initially crew the 15 70 seat 175s announced last month. Ord being delivered in March while these mid-summer 2018.

It is getting very confusing.

An Ord delta 175 base could make the western bases go even more junior.
Many have held out from transitioning due to Delta bennies.
