Was talking with a guy from Endeavor last night on the parking lot shuttle (and for a few minutes after we got off), he said their TA includes a provision requiring the company to match any compensation gains made by pilot groups at other DCI carriers subsequently.
Frankly, it just doesn't make sense to come here anymore. Upgrades with minimum hours will be the industry standard going forward, so the quick upgrade is everywhere. Go where the money is, not where your friends think is the "cool" place to work. With Endeavor and the other wholly-owneds free of the necessity to turn a profit, independent carriers (and their employees) cannot win this game. |

However: My dad lost his medical for 18 months due to a congenital disease. The only steroid that worked for him was not FAA approved. With the help of a union doctor, he was able to get the steroid approved and is back to flying. This is anecdotal, and a sample size of 1. And my dad is certainly not a big union guy, at all. But in my family's case, the help they provided was huge. |

The troll is strong with this guy. You have to give him credit. He comes across as a complete douche fairly consistently with the anti union bs. You can hate unions all you want, but at the end of the day unions protect you more than they hurt you |
