Thanks, I have had one internal Recommendation contacted but none of the others. DB for me is the 5th so there is still time I guess.

From reading previous posts, they may or may not call all your references. Furthermore, calling references, while a good sign does not always result in a final offer by the DB. It's when you get that call after the DB

Have you been sent to get your drug test done? Thats usually a good sign as well.

As mentioned before, the call on DB day is the definite goal, but those mentioned above are also good signs.

Quick app question for you guys... The wording confuses me a little bit... On the app, one question says

"Have you EVER failed a Flight Check-ride, Proficiency Check, Flight Evaluation, or Upgrade attempt (Aircraft or Simulator, Oral or Practical)? Please include only Checkrides that occurred while attempting to achieve or maintain a qualification, i.e. Instrument Qualification, Commercial, ATP, CFI, Type Qual etc. Do not include Stage Checks if part of a Formal Course of Training or Military Flight Training phase checks leading to your initial Pilot Qualification. (Exclude initial PPL qualification). If Yes, list only MO/YR and type checkride"

The next says..

"In the preceding ten years have you failed a Flight Check-ride, Proficiency Check, Flight Evaluation, or Upgrade attempt (Aircraft or Simulator, Oral or Practical)? Please include only Checkrides that occurred while attempting to achieve or maintain a qualification, i.e. Instrument Qualification, Commercial, ATP ,CFI, Type Qual etc. Do not include Stage Checks if part of a Formal Course of Training or Military Flight Training phase checks leading to your initial Pilot Qualification."

The reason I ask, is the first question is clearly asking about check rides related to obtaining a rating EVER, and the second seems to be last 10 years. Does "Initial Pilot Qualification" refer to your Private Pilot in both scenarios when referring to a "Stage Check part of a formal course", or is it in reference to all of your initial ratings? I did all of my training part 141, and had a couple of stage check failures back then, but never anything in part 121 career... Just want to make sure I answer the questions correctly and honestly.. Thanks guys!

Stage checks don't count. I would only list any check-ride failures if any for the actual qualification (PVT, INT, COMM, ME, CFI, CFII, MEI etc) and any 135/121 failures on check-rides under those parts.

I as well as others in our interview group (6AUG) didn't get Drug test emails until a few days after our DB. Most if not all of us had multiple references called leading up to the board.
