the guys on the AS thread think an Alaska/Hawaiian merger is all but done. If I had to bet. There is no merger we will go after HA and AS(west coast) and force them to merge to stay alive yet they will both be smaller after.
yet with the new CEO announcement maybe Bob says on till the new CEO from the company we merged with(AA) takes over?

Uh, Bob says no betting on a merger but to force one for them to stay alive and get smaller. Duh.

In order of preference, JetBlue, Hawaiian, Alaska, Frontier then Spirit.

We'll know when the USAToday is reporting it.

Why is everyone so optimistic about a merger? They rarely go over well. Organic growth is best and we definitely have the means to do so. We just need the cojones to do it.

I don't think anyone is optimistic...just perhaps realistic based on past behaviors
