WARN notice received today.
I cashed out the SWAG points I was saving to "help the company" while saving for something nice. $100 VISA debit cards are nice too. I also stopped my 401k contribution, stopped my ESPP contributions, and I'll be selling my SWA stock as soon as the current ESPP offering gets settled so I'll only have to pay fidelity's transaction fee once. I'm catching up my logbook, updating my resume, signing up for career fairs early next year, and since I expect my annual training to happen before the furlough date I've printed and laminated a copy of the WARN notice for my desk during training. The letter will be accompanied by a stack of resumes and business cards, and I'm considering attending training in a full interview suit. Can't practice that elevator speech too often, according to my career counselor. Thinking about buying a nice plain black tie, but I don't have my "in memorial" cover story yet so that might not happen right away.

$12Bn in cash, MAX and vaccine coming soon, $10M/day and dropping daily cash burn, ZERO chance of any sort of political movement to get ANYTHING done before the 2 outstanding senate seat runoff elections are held, and still they send me a WARN notice 22 days before Christmas? FUPM

Doctors would be dime/dozen if management could get around that pesky residency requirement. Every pilot who was a CFI ultimately sowed the seeds of future misery by producing yet another mouth to feed.
