Because that is how you live with Covid when it isn't going away. You have to manage it. Those vaccinated can of course still catch it (why wouldn't you catch it? the vaccine doesn't prevent you breathing in). But the chances of being hospitalized with serious illness go waaaaay down. Going forward, we can't as a society have hospital ICU and critical care beds clogged up by the anti-vax crowd and not have beds available for regular emergencies.

The ultra rare blood clot is a known (again, extremely rare) issue of the JJ shot. Pfizer's regular use approval and soon Moderna's are far better IMO because they offer better efficacy. I don't even know why people are taking the JJ jab. If you are going to do it, may as well take Pfizer or Moderna.

You won't get vaccinated. Not until your job is on the line. And then even the most staunchly pigheaded pilots will roll up the sleeves because they won't pi$$ away a quarter million+ dollar career.

Again, fantastic medical advice from a trusted medical professional. Like I said, you’ve convinced me. I’ll go get the shot tomorrow. Might even start a drive to sign some kids up to serve as test subjects so we can get that approved as quickly as we can. It’s all very logical!

Not sure about the “quarter million+ dollar career” figure but I’d rather be pig-headed than an airhead…

When hospitals across the country are willing to fire 10%-20% of their staff I don’t think the ICU problem is nearly as bad as the media portrays. And if it is… seems like it makes perfect sense to fire all those people in the middle of pandemic.

Sad….You don’t even see how the moving goalposts have affected your reasoning. In just six short months. You keep on rolling up your sleeve and I’ll take my naturally acquired immunity/ and or treatment plans any day. I’ve taken any and all vaccines including influenza shots so your attempt at demeaning anyone not readily willing to line up like cattle for an unproven product is offensive and proves you’ve taken this administrations divide and conquer mantra hook line and sinker. Think for yourself. Or live in perpetual fear if that’s what you like. You’re not going to like it when a bunch of people you work with get accommodated. You’ll like it even less when they constantly remind you how wrong you are.

Whatever you guys do, don't give up. When they write you a pink slip, frame it and put it on your wall. You can tell your grandkids how not even the loss of a six figure job, the very real threat of death, or more likely, medically disqualifying complications would get you to admit the libs were right!

Only one way to own "Brandon". Time to go out in a blaze if glory! There's plenty of other jobs out there!

I think SWAPA did a pretty good job of explaining what was actually happening. Not hard to see when there’s so much red and yellow in elitt.

Can someone please explain to those of us watching from outside WN, who/what is Brandon? I get the sense this’d be more entertaining if I knew. Appreesh.
