My prediction is simply based on the fact that BJ has been involved in some of the more successful past company initiatives, that he's NOT a bean-counter, and that Wall Street analysts seem to be bracing for a lot more capital expenditures (instead of stock buy-backs) as reflected in our sagging stock price of late. What the changes might be....hell if I know, but my spidey-senses say that something is coming.

....oh, and the current administration in DC will not approve any airline mergers of any significance.

He said he would… he’s gonna LUV on us, and make environment and diversity in management be his top priority.

Diversity as in selecting the most qualified and talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and locations into leadership positions, or diverse as in selecting the government assigned flavor of the day?

Well, let’s not get racist and sexist by bringing meritocracy into this.

Bob Jordan was selected by the board of directors pretty much cause he is going to be Gary Kelly 2.0. You can read what the board of directors said during their discussion on who was next in line. It’s a vote and WALL STREET wants SWA to continue to be the conservative, slow methodical airline that keeps pumping out profits. This place will not deviate from its winning formula. Don’t expect anything earth shattering and you won’t be disappointed !!
