Was told something similar by Watterston this summer while there for Upgrade. No new domiciles until at least 2025...front runner is STL.

Been on the books for awhile since the terminal expansion started. Holdup has been staffing and inability to fly our schedule. DEN is supposed to grow by 800 pilots (400/seat) which would take it to 2000 pilots. It’s a terrible base…if you’re senior to me.

My info is a few months old, was there in July...12,000 pilots and 1,500 airplanes by 2030 is the current plan. 1,000 a side in DEN is a no-brainer. That'll happen quick.

Trying to get the network back to frequency pre-covid/pre-max grounding.

Waiting to see what happens with the Max7. 50/50 now it gets certified without a new type rating.

We’ll be close to 12k pilots next year if they hire what they say they will. Told us in Aug they wanted 1000 planes and 5k flights a day by ‘23-‘24

Not trying to shoot the messenger… 12k pilots and 1500 planes is an 8:1 ratio. Think we’ll hit 12k pilots well before 1500 planes.

Market plan is ~400 daily departures out of DEN next summer. Seems the crew numbers would be in line with this. As said previously, ground ops people is a whole nother story !

I'm not sure why anyone puts any belief in the rumors coming from the Bobs in the LEAD center. The MO up there is them talking out of their ass, then having to walk it back 6 months later due to "unforeseen circumstances". Feel free to bookmark my post here for future reference when they tell us due to uncertainty in the economic climate, they've had to adjust their new hire numbers from 2000 to 800 and our aircraft deliveries have been slashed in half. Rinse and repeat.
