Love it when guys pretend to be OPS or an FBO. Hilarious. (Sarcasm)

At least the let's go *******s have slowed down. Right after that incident happened it was out of control.

Guard has a specific purpose. As old as it is, VHF/UHF is still very reliable. Playing ops or the meows and other lame comments are childish, and have no place in a professional environment. Want to be cute? Get a couple of walks talkies and play with your buddies off duty. Hell, you can even pretend you’re Roger Ramjet.

It's a "requirement" for GA pilots to monitor guard in the DC Metro region, anywhere around the SFRA, and as such, the Guard shenanigans are sort of built-in.

That said, when I was teaching, when it got bad I would just turn the damned radio down because it was distracting to my students AND setting a bad example.

Not to be “that guy,” but it’s actually a requirement for all aircraft in the NAS, not just “GA in the SFRA.”

Prove it. (I’m genuinely curious. I’ve never heard of that “requirement” before).
