Last contract negotiations, Frontier added pairings without adding pilots or planes in order to force "irregular ops", and used that as an excuse to cancel pilot's vacations. They signed a spirit-minus contract less than a year later. I can't imagine why anyone would spend one day longer than necessary at Frontier. It's one of only 2 companies I never even applied to when I was starting out, because I could tell from the outside how toxic that place would be.
That’s not at all what happened with respect to canceled vac at f9. It was done in response to alpa pulling a loa that allowed pilots to call crew scheduling day of past the contractual 930 LDT and pick up opentime. That should have been pulled years earlier but we wanted to play nice in the beginning to get into meditation. Also, it was nk plus on the payrate anyhow. But yes this place has toxic management for sure.
By the way we sued them while in mediation and showed with data (res usage, sick at close to a 5 year low) there was no need to pull the vac. The Lawsuit went away with a settlement agreement (pilots made whole At premium rates) after a TA was reached.
